VIDEO: Republican Humiliates Sharpton...

(MEDIAITE) -- Al Sharpton squared off with Republican congressman Tim Huelskamp on MSNBC Wednesday over Obamacare and Republicans trying to crack down on the food stamp program. Sharpton called Huelskamp out for voting against the program while his family collected a total of over two million dollars in farm subsidies, and read off statistics about health insurance in Huelskamp’s home state of Texas to grill him on why he opposes Obamacare.

Huelskamp argued that the whole point of cutting food stamps is to wean out the millions of “able-bodied adults” who technically are not supposed to qualify for food stamps, insisting that “this won’t take a single calorie off the plates of kids.”

On Obamacare, Huelskamp told Sharpton that despite what the Department of Health and Human Services may say, they’ve “released selective statistics,” and told Sharpton, “I don’t think Washington can run the health care system better than Kansans can.” He questioned why, if the health care law is so good, Congress and President Obama don’t have to enroll in it. He said if it’s good enough for the rest of the country, “it should be good enough for the President of the United States.” Read more via Mediaite...
