(by Charles Samuel, IJReviw) -- Out from Alva, Clackmannanshire, in Scotland, there’s news that’s dimming the holiday season. There’s one less child on Santa’s list this year, and the details are pretty horrific.
Police arrived at the home of 5-year-old boy Scott Chiriseri and what they discovered has the entire town grappling for more details. According to the Daily Record:
A boy of five was found after suffering what one emergency services member described as a “sickening and violent death”.
… Chief Inspector Stephen Sneddon said: “On arrival, police officers found the child with a significant injury to his body and he was later pronounced dead at the scene by the Scottish Ambulance Service.”
While specific details are hard to come by so early on in the investigation, IBTimes reports that:
… [the] boy was found with his heart ripped out in a suspected ‘ritual’ killing.
… A woman, who is believed to be the boy’s mother, was held by police on Friday night. It is understood she is from Botswana, and there is another child, the boy’s sister, who is safe and well.
Police are assuring the community that there doesn’t appear to be any reason to be worried about their own children’s safety in the town.
