House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) says a newly released White House email listing Susan Rice’s Benghazi talking points “didn’t have any additional information,” and she’s not bothered that the email was released in response to a FOIA request instead of a congressional subpoena.
Referring to the controversial email, Pelosi said, “It wasn’t in the scope of the subpoena that — whatever his name is — Issa — was putting forth, did not include that email.”
Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, is leading the congressional investigation into the attacks in Libya that killed four Americans on Sept. 11, 2012, as well as misleading information put out by the White House.
“Whatever was in that (email) — what I know of what I’ve read in the press about the — about those emails was very consistent with what was put out there before. I don’t think there’s anything new there.”
