MUST WATCH -- O'Reilly: What Should America Do With Racial Hustlers?
Tonight in a controversial Talking Points Memo, Bill O’Reilly stated, “We are living in a country that is rapidly changing. Rules of civility are pretty much finished.”
The Factor host said that while America has always embraced robust debate, there are people on the left and the right using disgraceful tactics to demean those with whom they disagree.
He used the example of Jason Whitlock, a writer for FoxSports.com who was in the news recently when Bob Costas quoted him after the murder-suicide of Jovan Belcher. After the tragedy, Whitlock said, “I believe the NRA is the new KKK. And that the arming of so many black youths and blowing up our communities with drugs and then just having an open shooting gallery is the work of people that obviously don’t have our best interests.”
O’Reilly invited Whitlock on his show to explain what he meant by those comments. Whitlock wrote in response, “I was summoned to testify before speaker of the house Bill O’Reilly, the Fox News entertainer … I don’t have to shuffle off to the big house when summoned. O’Reilly is not Boehner, Pelosi or Obama. He’s a TV entertainer who has spent the weeks after the election crying about the end of the ‘white establishment’ America, the end of the days when an upstanding white man felt entitled to summon whomever he wanted whenever he wanted to the big house to dance. I don’t dance.”
“Now that is pure racism,” O’Reilly said on tonight’s show. “Whitlock implying that I am some kind of slave overlord — and he gets away with that kind of garbage, in fact, he gets paid to spout.”
