Whoopi's Claim About Obama Exec Orders Shows Why You Shouldn't Get Your News from 'The View'
On Wednesday, the ladies of ABC's “The View” decided to tackle the topic for themselves — and wound up falling woefully short for a group that has told their millions of daily viewers that they hold themselves “to a higher standard” when it comes to reporting the facts.
If you want accurate news, The View is not the show to watch. https://t.co/DEXaGUgZan— Lilia (@LiliaEP) January 25, 2017
After co-host Joy Behar suggested that Trump was signing executive orders so soon after his inauguration because “he’s afraid he’s going to get impeached,” co-host Jedediah Bila reminded her crew that Obama had signed his fair share as well.
Seeking to justify the former president, Whoopi boldly stated:
"The difference in what you're saying in terms of executive action at least it took President Obama at least a couple of months in and this one has came in and he said, 'we're doing this and this, and this.'
I understand that. All presidents have these things they want to do."
A short time after, she followed up with:
“He didn't do executive orders- — he didn’t do it in the beginning. He did it second year. I’m just saying.”
A look at the National Archives Federal Register, however, tells a very different story.
