Trump and Secret Service respond to Snoop Dogg’s video of the rapper ‘shooting’ the president
Rapper Snoop Dogg has attracted a fresh dose of both fame and infamy after his latest video, “Lavender,” featured him shooting a clown version of President Donald Trump with a gag gun. But now it would appear he’s attracted more than media attention.
According to TheWrap, a representative from Secret Service has made it known that they’ve got an eye on the rapper:
A representative for the U.S. Secret Service told TheWrap on Tuesday that the agency, which is responsible for the safety of President Trump, is “aware of” the video “Lavender,” which features Snoop Dogg shooting a clown-faced Trump stand-in with a toy gun.
It is unclear whether the agency is investigating or planning to investigate the video, as the Secret Service spokesman said that the agency had no further public comment on the matter at this time.
Since the video’s release, elected officials have also weighed in on the matter. Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio told TMZ, “I think people can disagree on policy, but we’ve got to be very careful about that kind of thing, because the wrong person sees that and gets the wrong idea, and you can have a real problem.”
