The Delusional Hollywood 'Stop Trump' Crew Gets Angry
By New York Post Editorial Board --
Judging by the latest celebrity-video appeal, Hollywood has moved on from false hope … to anger.
A fresh host of stars urges Democrats in Congress to wage war against the Trump administration — ironically, in a tape posted by the outfit Art Not War.
It follows lighter celeb videos encouraging voters and then the Electoral College to reject Donald Trump. If at first you don’t succeed . . .
Now come the likes of Sally Field, Steve Buscemi and Jeffrey Wright, all calling on Congress to “vigorously oppose” Trump’s policies.
“I’m mad, flabbergasted, furious, concerned for my children. I’m worried for everyone,” runs part of the new lecture.
And: “The majority of Americans, regardless of who they voted for, did not vote for racism, for sexism or for xenophobia. And yet, Donald Trump won.” Maybe because non-politically-correct voters realized his policies aren’t racist, sexist or xenophobic?
Then the appeal to Dems in Congress: “We demand that you block nominees who threaten the rights of women, the LGBT community, people of color, immigrants and the poor.” And they clearly think that means every Trump pick.
Maybe Hollywood will have more luck preaching only to elected Democrats than it did in haranguing everyone. If not, perhaps the stars will give the nation a break and stick to their day jobs for a while.
