Trump to Give Christian Refugees Priority Access to US
President Donald Trump signed off on an executive order Friday that would limit the flow of refugees looking for safety and shelter in the United States. In addition, the executive order would expand so-called “extreme vetting” for individuals seeking to get into the United States from countries the administration associates most with terrorism.
Speaking to the Christian Broadcast Network (CBN) prior to the signing, President Trump suggested that he will grant higher priority to Christian refugees. .
During the interview inside the Blue Room at the White House, President Trump told CBN's David Brody:
"If you were a Muslim you could come in, but if you were a Christian, it was almost impossible and the reason that was so unfair, everybody was persecuted in all fairness, but they were chopping off the heads of everybody but more so the Christians. And I thought it was very, very unfair. So we are going to help them.”
