George H.W. Bush May Not Have Much Longer — PLEASE PRAY
President-elect Donald Trump is nearing the most important day of his entire life, his official swearing in as President of the United States. As Inauguration Day inches closer, another man who once held the title Trump is preparing to assume is in bad shape. Reports are coming in the George H.W. Bush’s health is worsening after a medical scare on Saturday.
The former president was admitted to a Texas hospital over the weekend for debilitating shortness of breath. Since then, he has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit, increasing fears that his medical condition may be far more serious than his handlers are letting on.
Bush’s office released the following statement:
“Shortly after our previous report on President Bush’s condition, he was admitted to the ICU at Houston Methodist Hospital to address an acute respiratory problem stemming from pneumonia. Doctors performed a procedure to protect and clear his airway that required sedation. President Bush is stable and resting comfortably in the ICU, where he will remain for observation.”
The former First Lady Barbara Bush was also admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital on the same day as her husband, compounding the anxiety of her immediate family. Her hospital stay was more of a precaution, though, as her ailments were limited to coughing and fatigue, likely a result of her husband’s condition.
Because of their declining health, the former president and his wife will be forced to skip the Inauguration Day ceremony and official swearing in of Donald Trump this Friday in Washington, D.C.
In a letter to the president-elect penned on January 10, before his hospitalization and subsequent surgery, Bush wrote, “My doctor says if I sit outside in January, it likely will put me six feet under. So I guess we’re stuck in Texas. I want you to know that I wish you the very best as you begin this incredible journey of leading our great country. If I can ever be of help, please let me know.”
While the Bush family will certainly be missed this weekend as the nation witnesses the peaceful transition of power between the administrations of Barack Obama and Donald Trump, it is important that they are able to rest and mend. Please SHARE this report if you will keep them in your prayers.
