DHS Chief Warns Public of Info They Don’t Want to Know
In an interview on Fox News Friday morning, Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly said some Americans would “never leave the house” if they had the information he had about terrorist threats.
“I was telling (‘Fox & Friends’ host) Steve (Doocy) on the way in here, if he knew what I knew about terrorism, he’d never leave the house in the morning,” Kelly said, according to The Hill.
He added that the global terror threat was worse than most people know.
“It’s everywhere. It’s constant,” Kelly said, according to the New York Post. “It’s nonstop. The good news for us in America is we have amazing people protecting us every day… But it can happen here almost any time.”
Of four terrorist attacks in the past week in Manchester, England, Egypt, Indonesia and the Philippines, Kelly said they were perpetrated “by generally the same groups.”
“But the good news is, again, we have the finest men and women in uniform, out of uniform — police officers, local law enforcement, New York City cops — protecting us.”
For the liberal crowd who believes that we need to “coexist” with terrorists (looking at you, Katy Perry), what Kelly had to say should be some sobering news.
These are not individuals anyone can coexist with. They specifically want to enforce their Bronze Age view of the world on everyone — and if nonbelievers don’t acquiesce, extremists totally believe that violence is justified.
It is a frightening world, and thank God most of us can make it out of the house and go on with our lives. That’s in part thanks to the DHS, which makes sure that we can live without being sitting ducks for terrorists.
