BOOM! Jesse Ventura Gets BAD NEWS After Suing Chris Kyle’s Widow
Former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura just got some bad news as a much-needed smackdown was just delivered after Ventura sought the reinstatement of a $1.8 million verdict against the estate of the late Chris Kyle, Navy SEAL and author of “American Sniper.”
In an epic ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court just gave Ventura exactly what he deserved. Although jurors in St. Paul Minnesota awarded Ventura a $1.8 million settlement in 2014 in a case where he accused the late Chris Kyle of lying about a fight that took place in a bar, things took a turn before he received his payout. However, Ventura wasn’t about to give up.
Ventura disputed the claim that he was knocked out cold by the former Navy SEAL in the bar. Kyle’s book claimed that the barroom fight, where Ventura was allegedly knocked out, happened as a result of Ventura making disparaging remarks about the Iraq war, Navy SEALS, and President Bush.
Previously, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals threw out the $1.8 million verdict awarded to Ventura against the Kyle estate. In the most recent development, Ventura was turned away when the justices decided that the U.S. Supreme court would not entertain the idea of hearing the appeal.
According to a report by The New York Post, Ventura said:
“The appeal wasn’t overturned because Chris Kyle didn’t lie. He did lie — and that was proven in court. The appeal was overturned on a technicality. And the judges went against their rules [and] laws to do it. Politics.”
