Now y’all know I love a good ol’ bit of political hypocrisy. And I do feel greatly compelled to share it with all of you. Remember how the liberal progressive media savaged President Bush incessantly over, well, everything? They lambasted him over his aircraft carrier landing and the “Mission Accomplished” banner. Yet, when President Obama declares combat operations over and the enemy keeps fighting and killing Americans, well, somehow it is still “Bush’s fault.” I love how my dear progressive socialist friends seem to forget Bush hasn’t been in the White House these past seven-and-a-half years — but it’s still his fault. Doggone, Barack Obama has THE best “get out of jail free card” — imagine if Bush was doing the tango right after an Islamic terror attack in Europe?
Yep, nothing like a good ol’ hypocrisy. Now imagine if the following happened under President George W. Bush.
As reported by The Daily Beast, “The growing scandal over cooked ISIS intelligence just got much worse. Now, analysts are saying they’re being forced out for not toeing the Obama administration’s line on the war.
Two senior intelligence analysts at U.S. Central Command say the military has forced them out of their jobs because of their skeptical reporting on U.S.-backed rebel groups in Syria, three sources with knowledge of their claim told The Daily Beast. It’s the first known instance of possible reprisals against CENTCOM personnel after analysts accused their bosses of manipulating intelligence reports about the U.S.-led campaign against ISIS in order to paint a rosier picture of progress in the war.
One of the analysts alleging reprisals is the top analyst in charge of Syria issues at CENTCOM. He and a colleague doubted rebels’ capabilities and their commitment to U.S. objectives in the region. The analysts have been effectively sidelined from their positions and will no longer be working at CENTCOM, according to two individuals familiar with the dispute, and who spoke on condition of anonymity.
The analysts’ skeptical views put them at odds with military brass, who last year had predicted that a so-called moderate opposition would make up a 15,000-man ground force to take on ISIS in its self-declared caliphate. An initial $500 million program to train and arm those fighters failed spectacularly. And until the very end, Pentagon leaders claimed the operation was more or less on track. Lawmakers called the plan a “joke” when Gen. Lloyd Austin, the CENTCOM commander, finally testified last September that there were just “four or five” American-trained fighters in Syria.”
We’ve previously shared all of this with you right here on these pages. Now, ask yourself this rhetorical question, if this were George W. Bush…well, you know. This would be all over the front page of the New York Times and on every single mainstream media news program running constantly. But, with the “Teflon President.” nothing sticks, and he’s very aware of that and therefore continues to act with a level of obtuse behavior we may (hopefully) never again see in America.
The most transparent administration in the history of America is nowhere near that claim. After all this, one thing is for certain, the Obama administration should appear regularly on the Food Network with all the “cooking” they’ve been doing. They’ve been cooking intel reports. They’ve been cooking unemployment numbers. They’ve been cooking the numbers of veterans left on waiting lists and even dying. You begin to ask yourself, what is truth with President Obama and his administration? They tell us we’re not engaged in combat in Iraq and Afghanistan, so why are Americans losing their lives?
