WATCH: Hollywood Star Sees Helpless Man In Burning Vehicle, Does The Unthinkable…
Actor Jamie Foxx is being hailed as a hero for coming to a rescue of a man trapped inside of a burning truck on Monday night.
The incident happened outside of Foxx’s home just north of Los Angeles around 8:30 p.m. The Oscar-winning actor said that he heard the crash, called 911 and then ran to the scene.
There he discovered 32 year-old Brett Kyle inside of his badly mangled 2007 Toyota pickup truck. The vehicle had run off the road into a side rail and drainage pipe, which caused it to flip multiple times.
Foxx could not get to the man because the truck’s driver’s side door was locked and the window was up. Another Good Samaritan had stopped, who happened to have paramedic’s scissors in his car, which he used to smash the window. Foxx then reached into the vehicle and tried to unbuckle Kyle’s seatbelt, but could not.
“I grabbed the scissors from [the other rescuer], cut the seatbelt,” Foxx told ABC 7. “As we pulled him out, within five seconds later, the truck goes up (in flames).”
The actor told Kyle, “You have angels around you.”
