VIDEO: Ted Cruz Comes Unglued During Bill O’Reilly Interview… This Got Awkward, FAST

Conservative Tribune

On the of the favorite targets of conservatives and Republicans is the mainstream media. A vast majority of the media is very liberal, which leads to many right-leaning politicians getting bad coverage.

BizPac Review reported that in an ironic reversal, Sen. Ted Cruz ripped into Fox News host Bill O’Reilly for constantly defending billionaire businessman Donald Trump on his show.

Cruz joined a growing number of Republicans who have become increasingly frustrated with the media’s fixation with Trump and their lack of coverage of the other candidates in the race.

Cruz was discussing Trump’s previous funding of liberal politicians and stated that this should turn people off from supporting Trump. O’Reilly countered by saying that Trump funded those politicians as a businessman.

Cruz then ripped into Trump’s “New York values” and talked about New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s less-than-favorable attitude toward conservatives.

“Trump doesn’t subscribe to any of that,” O’Reilly countered.

“Of course he does. He funded it!” said Cruz, getting slightly frustrated.

O’Reilly did eventually concede that Cruz is more conservative than Trump. However, being more conservative than Trump probably isn’t going to help Cruz win a deeply blue state like New York, though it could help him out west.

“It’s not actually a question of being more conservative or not,” Cruz stated. “Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are flip sides of the same coin. Hillary Clinton has made millions of dollars selling power and access in Washington; and Donald Trump has made billions of dollars buying power and access in Washington.”

“I’m not buying it,” said O’Reilly.

“I know — you defend him a lot Bill,” Cruz sardonically observed.

Cruz and Trump are locked in a tight race for the magic number of 1.237 delegates needed to secure the nomination. Trump has a greater chance than Cruz of getting the necessary number, but even those odds aren’t very good.

Trump is likely to take away a large portion of the delegates up for grab in New York, but after that, anything could happen.
