VIDEO: Mike Pence Was Asked How He “Tolerates” Trump… His Response Is EPIC
Indiana Gov. Mike Pence was campaigning in Nevada when a military mother asked him how he “tolerated” Trump’s “disrespectful” remarks regarding the family of U.S. Army Capt. Human Khan, who was killed by a suicide bomber in Iraq in 2004.
The woman’s question was met with boos from the audience, but Pense quieted them, saying: “That’s what freedom looks like and that’s what freedom sounds like.”
Pense praised Capt. Khan for his service to his country and then went on to answer the woman’s question.
He told her and the crowd that he had never been around anyone “more devoted to the armed forces of this country, more devoted to the families of our soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines and Coast Guard, and no one more devoted to the veterans in this country.”
“Donald Trump supports our soldiers and supports our veterans like no other leader in my lifetime,” he added.
The vice presidential nominee went on to say that we have work to do in the military, which has been “hollowed out” by the current administration. He assured the crowd that Trump was intent on rebuilding our military and providing it with the resources and training needed to defend this country from its enemies.
Watch the exchange in the video below:
Trump may have taken quite a bit of flack for his remarks after Khizr Khan’s speech before the Democrat National Convention, but he has always been clear on his views about the military. He has also expressed far more concern for our country’s veterans than the current administration would ever dream of doing.
Pense articulated those views to the crowd in such a way that, hopefully, this mother understood.
