Sarah Palin to be judge in TV courtroom reality show
Her on-screen persona has ranged from self-proclaimed “hockey mom”, to wildlife hunter in the Alaskan wilderness to provocative political pundit on Fox News.
Now Sarah Palin is to adapt her undoubted telegenic qualities to a different, though perhaps equally unforgiving, role - a no-nonsense courtroom judge in the image of American television’s award-winning Judge Judy show, whose host Judith Sheindlin, a retired judge, is famed for her brusque manner with defendants.
The former Alaska governor and American vice-presidential candidate has signed up to preside over a television reality court show that is due to be broadcast next year, People magazine reported.
Warm Springs, a production company based in Montana, has formed a programme-making team that includes the executive credited with finding Judge Judy, as well as Judge Joe Brown, another highly successful courtroom TV series.
