PHOTOS: Trump Lands in Mexico, Instantly People Notice Interesting Detail About Plane
When Donald Trump flew down to Mexico City for his meeting with Mexican President Enqrique Peña Nieto, he didn’t fly in with his usual fanfare.
In fact, what he was flying in said a lot about just why Mexico has become such a hot-button political issue.
As you probably know, Trump took time off the campaign trail to meet with President Peña Nieto just hours before his major speech on immigration.
Instead of flying there in the jet that’s emblazoned with his inimitable Trump logo, this is what he arrived in Mexico City in:
Yeah, that definitely doesn’t like Trump’s typical steed. And Mexicans weren’t the only group of people Trump had reason to fear from.
Take this leftist:
Wonderful. Meanwhile, they say Trump supporters are violent.
One look at this shows just how incorrect the media has been when reporting on Mexico.
On one hand, they derided Trump for his statements that large parts of Mexico are lawless and that open borders are causing a spillover of that lawlessness into American territory. On the other hand, a major candidate for the presidency of the United States has to go down to Mexico in an unmarked plane because of the possibility of violence.
Needless to say, Trump saw no reason to take it easy when he delivered his speech on immigration later in the day.
“For those here illegally today who are seeking legal status, they will have one route and one route only. To return home and apply for re-entry like everybody else under the rules of the new legal immigration system that I have outlined today,” Trump told the nation, according to CNN.
“It’s our right as a sovereign nation to choose immigrants that we think are the likeliest to thrive and flourish and love us,” he explained.
One thing’s for sure: When Trump has to slip into a country that’s our putative ally, not all of the people from that country may love us — or at least our politicians — in quite the way that Trump would want.
