PHOTO: What Trump Just Did With Dallas Cops Utterly SHAMED Obama’s White House
In his first remarks on Thursday’s Dallas cop murders, President Barack Obama offered pro forma condolences to the police officers and then used the occasion to push for gun control, in spite of not knowing how that would have affected the situation. Needless to say, it wasn’t well received.
How did Donald Trump treat Dallas police officers when he was in the city?
Three weeks ago, he landed in the Texas metropolis to campaign.
Click on the picture below to see what that was like:
He went down the line of Dallas police officers, shaking the hands of each and every one of them and thanking them for their service to our citizens.
Take another look at a still from Scavino’s video:
Can you ever see Barack Obama doing this? In all fairness, he might find some problems finding officers willing to line up for it — especially after all his anti-police rhetoric.
“This is how he acts everywhere we go,” Trump social media director Dan Scavino said. “Trump has a true appreciation for law enforcement. This isn’t a show. This is the real Donald Trump!”
Trump was also much more ecumenical in his remarks on Facebook after the attack, which killed five officers.
“Prayers and condolences to all of the families who are so thoroughly devastated by the horrors we are all watching take place in our country,” Trump wrote on Facebook.
Contrast that with the president’s agenda-pushing remarks. Which one sounds more presidential? Which one displays more real leadership?
Yet, for all we’ve heard from the mainstream media, it’s Donald Trump who’s the divisive one. It’s Donald Trump who’s tearing America apart.
The Democrat Party has, for years, used division as a calling card. Nowhere was that more evident than in the aftermath of the Dallas shootings.
Trump, meanwhile, has been supportive of law enforcement since the beginning of his campaign. That’s the kind of consistency and uniting ability we expect from a president.
