Pentagon Makes STUNNING ISIS Admission – Obama Won’t Want You To Hear This
“We estimate there’s between 20,000 and 30,000 members of [ISIS] operating inside both Iraq and Syria,” said Col. Steve Warren, spokesman for Operation Inherent Resolve, the military name of the operation against terrorism in the Middle East.
According to CIA numbers gathered in September 2014, there were between 20,000 and 31,500 ISIS militants in Iraq and Syria one month after President Barack Obama ordered airstrikes.
So, the ongoing operation has had zero net effect on the terrorist group as far as reducing the number of fighters. Other figures coming from sources outside the U.S. estimate there are now more than 30,000 ISIS fighters. Some analysts put the figures as high as 200,000, but other experts believe that is an overestimation.
Warren said the coalition had success in terms of land. Reportedly, a third of the territory previously conquered by ISIS in Iraq and Syria has been reclaimed from the terrorists, he said.
