Obama's Most Recent Club Gitmo Release A Slap In The Face To 9/11 Victims
President Barack Hussein Obama has again chosen to slap the victims of the Sept. 11 attacks across the face — this time by ordering the release of deceased terrorist Osama bin Laden’s alleged bodyguard, whom the president apparently did not perceive as a threat anymore.
Abdel Malik Ahmed Abdel Wahab al-Rahabi, who rightfully spent 14 years as a detainee at Guantanamo Bay, was subsequently transferred to the small European nation of Montenegro, which according to NBC News, chose to release him and let him “return to his family.”
This despite the fact that al-Rahabi allegedly worked as a bodyguard for bin Laden, was married to one of the terrorist mastermind’s family members and even received training for a planned hijacking terrorist attack slated to occur in southeast Asia.
Like any criminal, al-Rahabi denied the accusations against him, and like the naive simpletons they happen to be, officials in the Obama administration fell for his shtick hook, line and sinker. As a result, a terrorist is now free.
Is it possible that al-Rahabi was indeed telling the truth and is therefore no threat to the United States? Yes, it’s possible, but it’s also very unlikely, given the behavior of other former Gitmo detainees who were also released by Obama.
“What I can tell you is, unfortunately, there have been Americans that have died because of (former Guantanamo) detainees,” Paul Lewis, the Pentagon’s special envoy for Guantanamo detention closure, testified before Congress in March.
Moreover, reports have confirmed that at least a dozen former detainees have gone on to launch attacks that killed Americans.
The president keeps underestimating our enemies just like he did when he referred to the Islamic State group as the “JV team.” And every single time he does something foolish like this, he also succeeds in further undermining our national security.
Congratulations, President Obama, for yet another job badly done …
