Marcus Luttrell Ignores Teleprompter at RNC, Makes Announcement GOP Elite Hate
The Republican National Convention started Monday with plenty of excitement. The last attempt by the “Never Trump” crowd to stop Trump failed miserably, and the speakers during prime time were incredible.
Former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell, who inspired the book and film “Lone Survivor,” was one of Monday’s speakers, and he gave a very passionate speech about protecting America and taking care of our veterans.
What he had to say off the top of his head was incredibly powerful and must have made establishment politicians squirm in their chairs — because his remarks were directed at politicians in both parties.
“Hold them accountable for every position and office they hold,” Luttrell said. “Either way, the only way we survive this is together, not apart. The only way for life to matter is if every life matters.”
Part of Trump’s popularity has been his willingness to take on corruption in both parties. Many Republican elites have shunned Trump because he has the guts to say that they haven’t done enough to stand up for the American people.
The last thing Washington politicians want is to be held accountable — but that’s what the American people want and that is what Trump stands for.
“To the next generation, your war is here, you don’t have to find it,” Luttrell said, continuing to ad-lib. “Who among you will love something more than you love yourself? I challenge all of you to fight for this country and each and every one of us.”

Luttrell’s ad-libed remarks were more powerful than just about anything politicians read from the teleprompter. His comments came from the heart, and he truly believes that America can be a better place if we all work together and try a little harder.
