Just After FBI Said No Charges For Hillary, Rand Paul Goes Viral

Conservative Tribune

If you were shocked and utterly appalled by the announcement Tuesday morning by FBI Director James Comey that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would not be indicted for her “extremely careless” mishandling of classified government materials on a private email server, you are not alone.

Former Republican presidential candidate and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul was incensed by the announcement and took to his Facebook page to make clear his thoughts on the exceptionally disconcerting news, particularly in regard to our nation’s once-strong rule of law.

“Today the FBI announced Hillary Clinton violated classified procedures, carelessly and recklessly endangered national security — and had done so repeatedly, over 100 times,” Paul wrote in his scathing social media post, noting that despite the clear evidence of criminal wrongdoing, the FBI would not recommend prosecution.

“This is an outrage and the rule of law has been turned upside down,” the senator declared.

Paul proceeded to mention the secret private meeting that took place last week between Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton, a clear appearance of impropriety, before adding that just days later Hillary Clinton was essentially cleared of culpability on the issue.

“The appearance is terrible. The decision is astounding. People have gone to jail for less severe breaches of classified information and national security,” Paul noted.

“Today Director Comey and the Obama administration Department of Justice made it clear to the American people, and all those being unfairly prosecuted by the DOJ, that there is no accountability, no justice, and the Clintons are allowed to live by a different set of rules,” he continued.

“This is a loss for the rule of law and further degrades American’s faith in the justice system,” Paul concluded.

Rand Paul is absolutely right, in that the rule of law in this country has been grievously wounded by the blatant revelation that there are two sets of rules in this country — one for the average American, and another for the political elite.

Where we disagree is on placing too much criticism and blame for this gross miscarriage of justice on the shoulders of FBI Director Comey, as we are of the opinion that this entire charade of an investigation was rigged from the outset, with him being placed in a no-win situation that would see him demonized regardless of the outcome.

As to there being a different set of rules by which the Clinton’s and their ilk live by, those rules can change right along with the corrupt administration that has fundamentally transformed our constitutional republic into little more than a banana republic similar to those found in the Third World.
