Insider Leaks Truth About Trump’s Meeting With African-American Leaders
Trump’s outreach has stunned many political pundits and left many wondering whether it was just a political stunt or whether Trump actually cared about the people he was trying to bring into the Republican Party.
Pastor Mark Burns, one of Trump’s most enthusiastic African-American supporters, discussed how Trump had a meeting with prominent African-American, Hispanic and Muslim leaders and said that the meeting was a positive step forward, Politico reported.
Burns went on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” and faced off against a panel of 10 people who were less than receptive to Trump’s tone.
“We have laid hands on him, and I believe without a doubt Mr. Trump truly, truly wants to be a president for all Americans,” Burns explained in response to a question posed by Al Sharpton.
“And I know without question there has been some language that has been controversial to some Americans. But I believe we’re just really in a very racially divided country right now and I think it’s just so imperative,” he added.
