Hey Libs, Stop Pretending Trump Won Because of Racism… He Didn't
Widely on social media, and also in the liberal mainstream media, President-elect Donald Trump’s election victory has been blamed on the apparent racism of the American voter.
Liberals have cherry picked cases of white supremacists celebrating Donald Trump’s victory, including that of ex-KKK leader David Duke (whom President-elect Trump has repeatedly disavowed), however the theory doesn’t quite match reality; the horrific “white-lash” (as it has been dubbed by CNN) doesn’t actually exist. This is evidenced pretty conclusively by the fact that Donald Trump won less of the White vote, and more of the Black, Hispanic and Asian-American votes, than Mitt Romney in 2012.
But, as expected, the left won’t let these pesky little facts get in their way, and they continue to blame the election result on racism – which is in line with the modern-liberal policy of blaming pretty much everything they don’t like, or don’t understand, on various –isms and –obias whilst also completely ignoring the reality of the situation.
Whilst populist figures on the right declare they will address voter concerns by increasing jobs, promoting border security, and addressing immigration concerns, the left not only provides no solutions, but also shames, insults and mocks working class voters for even daring to express concerns on these issues.
There is a strong argument that this is the secret behind Donald Trump’s victory, as well as the victory of Brexit and various other recent anti-globalist or pro-populist movements; voters have legitimate, fair concerns that the left have not only failed to address, but have shut down discussion of.
