Germany Investigating 40 ISIS Suspects Living In Germany. Guess How They Got There
Police in Germany are reportedly investigating 40 suspected terrorists believed to have entered the country posing as refugees.
Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (Isil) jihadists are feared to have infiltrated Germany hiding among the influx of more than 1.1m asylum-seekers.
The number of cases under investigation is much higher than previously thought, according to new figures published by Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung newspaper.
German federal police have received tip-offs concerning 369 alleged terrorists among asylum-seekers, which have led to 40 suspects being identified, according to the newspaper.
“More attacks by Islamist terror cells cannot be ruled out,” a federal police report leaked to the newspaper reads.
“The threat situation in Germany and Europe remains high.”
