Executioner In New ISIS Video Reportedly Used To Sell Bouncy Castles
The executioner threatening to kill unbelievers in a recent Islamic State video is a British man who used to sell bouncy castles.
A masked militant identified by the media as Siddhartha Dhar threatens Prime Minister David Cameron in a clear British accent in the video, before shooting five alleged spies in the head, reports Reuters. Dhar, 32, is a former bouncy castle salesman and Hindu from London who left for Syria after allegedly joining a banned group that wants to bring Sharia law to Britain.
The man in the video calls Cameron a “slave of the White House” and “mule of the Jews,” and vows ISIS will establish Sharia law in Britain.
Dhar’s sister Konika and others who knew him told British media the executioner sounds just like Dhar, although neither British authorities examining the video nor security experts have confirmed the executioners identity.
The video is strikingly similar to older videos in which another British man, Mohammaed Emwazi, known as “Jihadi John,” was the star — Dhar appears to be following in his footsteps. Jihadi John was killed by an American drone strike Nov. 12, 2015.
“The last time I saw him it was about two months before he left and joined so-called Islamic State and we were laughing,” Robb Leech, a man who knew Dhar, tells BBC radio according to Reuters. “It was very good natured.”
