Crazy? Look who Hillary’s eyeing for VP…
There’s a bit of a love triangle going on when it comes to who will be the Vice President to whomever becomes the nominee. Donald Trump has expressed interest in having Cruz at his VP (before AND after his attacks on Cruz), while Ben Carson is open to being Trump’s VP. Cruz, on the other hand, doesn’t even consider Trump to be a real Republican.
The right side of the race has certainly been much more eventful – and we haven’t heard much about VP picks on the left side of the aisle. It’s hard to imagine who would be Bernie’s pick (a communist maybe?), but we have some hints on who Hillary’s may be.
Gearing up for the Virginia primary on March 1, the Clinton campaign hosted volunteers and supporters at its small office space in a shopping center on the edges of Alexandria.
The evening featured a special guest: Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.), who was one of the first to voice his support for Clinton, long before she announced her candidacy.
In front of a crowded room of Clinton supporters, Kaine recounted his long history with the Clintons from his time serving as the mayor of Richmond:
“I think I know the job now and I know these people. I know them personally very well. And Hillary Clinton is head and shoulders, no ifs ands or buts, no close second, the most qualified to be the President of the United States. It’s not even close: character, issues, results.”
