Carson: I'm not going anywhere

Much to the annoyance of Ted Cruz's supporters, Ben Carson insists he is not quitting the Republican race for president despite likely finishing sixth in the South Carolina primary.

Carson, who takes evangelical voters away from Cruz, says he is not going anywhere.

"They only have complete control if we give them complete control," the retired neurosurgeon told his supporters on Saturday night in South Carolina.

"It is we the people who really have the power. ... And this is a message that I am going to be taking across the nation to try to help the people of America recognize that we still have the ability to dictate the course of our country."

With about 40 percent of the South Carolina vote counted, Fox News has Carson coming in sixth, with about 6.6 percent of the total. The Carson campaign is also nearly out of cash.
