ALERT: These Popular Snack Bars Could Send Your Entire Family To The Hospital
The popular protein-packed health snack, Clif Bar, has been recalled over concerns of contamination. The company is recalling three of its products for fear that they may contain listeria from tainted sunflower kernels.
The three varieties recalled are the Mojo Mountain Trail Mix bars, Sierra Trail Mix energy bars, and Nuts & Seeds energy bars. The company stated to pay close attention to the bars that have best-by dates between June 2016 and early 2017.
If for some reason your store is still selling these items, please do not purchase them and do not eat them.
It is unclear now how many bars were impacted by the recall, however it is always safe to err on the side of caution.
According to CNN no illnesses had yet been reported in connection with tainted Clif bars.
There have been approximately 40 recalls since last month over listeria concerns. SunOpta announced that it may have listeria-contaminated sunflower kernels and recalled its products as well.
