After ISIS Scared Christians Out of Mosul, They Lit a Big Bonfire to Wipe Them from History Books
Fox News reports that ISIS has murdered or forced out hundreds of thousands of Christians from Iraq — reducing the Christian population from 1.5 million to 275,000 since the terror group declared a caliphate in 2014. Christians have been in the region for 2000 years.
The latest move by ISIS shows it would like to scrub Christians from the history books as well.
Middle East Media Research Institute, a think tank that keeps track of terrorism, reports a new ISIS video from Mosul, Iraq shows a bonfire of Bibles, Christian literature and Christian school books:
ISIS is seen piling Bibles, Christian tracts and Christian teaching aids onto a bonfire in Mosul.
NBC News reports that the last Christians are believed to have left Mosul after ISIS demanded they submit to Islam and pay jizya (a tax on infidels), convert or die.
