Woman So Traumatized By What Happened To Her During Terror Attack She Has Been Unable To Speak Since
A woman who survived the attack on La Belle Equipe restaurant in Paris on Friday because a friend jumped infront of her to intercept the bullets is so traumatised by the experience that she can hardly speak.
Chloe Clement was at the restaurant on Rue de Charonne to celebrate a friend’s birthday when the gunmen burst in, killing 11 members of the party and shooting her in the arm.
One of them was Ludo Boumbas, a 40-year-old Fedex carrier of Congolese origin, who used himself as a human shield to protect her and was fatally shot.
Now recovering in hospital, Ms Clement is so affected by the attack that she simply lies in bed repeating Mr Boumbas’s name.
Virgile Grunberg, the manager of Café des Anges, where many people from the birthday celebration worked, went to visit Ms Clement in hospital and said she was deeply disturbed by the events of Friday night.
"She was on morphine and was in shock. She would barely speak.
"She felt guilty because Ludovic died for her. She just kept repeating his name again and again."
