The Virginia news station that lost two colleagues in an on-air shooting early Wednesday morning held a touching moment of silence to mark their deaths on Thursday.

WDBJ7 anchor Kimberly McBroom and meteorologist Leo Hirsbrunner held hands as they remembered Alison Parker, 24, and Adam Ward, 27, 24 hours after their deaths. They were joined by KY3 anchor Steve Grant, from Springfield, Missouri, who went to the Roanoke newsroom to help them continue operations. The two stations share a parent company.
