This One Question Got A Fox GOP Debate Moderator Booed By The Crowd

Praising the front-running Democratic presidential candidate at a debate among Republicans seeking the office is likely to go wrong, no matter how faint and fleeting the words.

Maria Bartiromo found that out Tuesday night when the Fox Business Network moderator received a chorus of boos from the crowd attending the Republican presidential debate in Milwaukee.

“Hillary Clinton is the clear front runner for the Democratic nomination,” Bartiromo said in phrasing a question to Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla. “If she is indeed the nominee, you will be facing a candidate with an impressive resume.”

The word “impressive” had barely left Bartiromo’s lips when a chorus of booing filtered through the crowd.

Bartiromo continued as the booing drifted away: “She was the first lady of the United States, a U.S. senator from New York, and secretary of state under Barack Obama. She has arguably more experience, certainly more time in government than almost all of you on stage tonight.”
