SPREAD THIS: Obama Plans to Use Major Military Base as “Daycare Center” for Illegal Alien Kids
In response to this potential plan, two Texas lawmakers wrote to the president, urging him to reconsider the idea.
John Carter and Roger Williams, both Republican congressmen, were concerned namely because their districts include parts of the 215,000-acre military base.
“We strongly urge your administration not to house illegal immigrants on any military base,” the Dec. 16 letter read.
But the congressmen didn’t stop there, as they took the opportunity to further express their grievances with the president over the immigration crisis.
“Furthermore, your administration should commit to securing the border and focus your efforts on reuniting these children with their families in their native countries,” the letter continued.
