Sanders’ Defense of Hillary Gets Standing Ovation
Asked during last night’s Democrat debate about the email scandal dogging her campaign, Hillary naturally claimed that she had taken full responsibility for it already, leading one to wonder why then she isn’t behind bars. She went on to inform everyone that it’s all part of the vast right-wing conspiracy anyway – an argument that was loudly supported by the audience, by those in the pressroom, and even by her competition Bernie Sanders.
“Let’s just take a minute here,” she said through a stiff smile, “to point out that this Committee is basically an arm of the Republican National Committee.” This was followed by a loud burst of applause. “It is a partisan vehicle…”
But “I’m still standing…” she continued, which was met with even louder applause, “and I intend to keep talking about the issues that matter to the American people” – as long as those issues are not the email scandal and Benghazi.
Bernie Sanders jumped in to say that “the Secretary is right” and that the American people “are sick and tired of hearing about your damned emails!” To which Hillary finally presented a genuine smile and chimed in, “Me, too!”
The audience roared its approval and Hillary nodded along like a bobblehead doll as Sanders went on to lecture the media about it too: “Enough of the emails! Let’s talk about the real issues facing America!”
