Authorities arrested a South Dakota man, who’s believed to be a militia member, at a local hotel Sunday.

Rodger Marsh, 48, was picked up by Alamosa police and the Colorado State Patrol on a warrant out of Tarrant County, Texas, for violation of probation for theft, according to a state patrol news release.

A Facebook post by the Costilla County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday night also announced the arrest, calling him the leader and founder of Operation Rally Point, “a militia and constitutionalist group.”

Sgt. Rick Rodriguez said the sheriff’s office had noted concern from residents about Marsh.
