Off-Duty Memphis Police Officer Shot, Killed; Suspect in Custody [VIDEO]
A Memphis police officer shot multiple times Sunday afternoon has died of his wounds, officials said. It was the second time in the past 10 weeks that a city officer was shot dead.
Memphis Police Director Toney Armstrong identified the slain officer as 31-year-old Terence Olridge, The(Memphis) Commercial Appeal reported. He was preparing to go to work when the shooting occurred, officials said.
Armstrong said police had detained a suspect, but that no charges had been filed.
