Look: How ISIS Responded Immediately After LA School Closing Scare Is Absolutely Infuriating
ISIS supporters rejoiced at the news that the email bomb threat against the Los Angeles School system on Tuesday prompted officials to shut it down.
As reported by Western Journalism, the Los Angeles Unified School District cancelled classes for all of its 900+ schools after a bomb threat was emailed to a school board member. The school district is the second largest in the nation (behind only New York City), with 640,000 students in 900 public schools and 187 charter schools. New York’s school district received a nearly identical threat on Tuesday, as well, but decided it was a hoax.
The LAUSD decision to close down the entire district came less than two weeks after the terrorist attacks in neighboring San Bernardino.
Vocativ reports that ISIS supporters expressed their glee online at the news. “Thanks God, they are panicked of everything. The soldiers of the Caliphate will look after you until the world will be under the rule of Allah,” wrote one supporter. Another responded with, “Oh God, never make them safe. Put panic in their hearts.”
Still another wrote on Twitter, “The city of Los Angeles is closing schools and vital areas because of the security threat. Oh God, destroy the worshipers of the cross.” One evoked memories of the Paris attacks, tweeting, “America is living the nightmare of Paris.” The Twitter accounts have since been suspended.
