GLENN BECK blasts own fans for 'cult-like obsession' with GOP front-runner, casting them as liars and hypocrites

Radio host Glenn Beck doubled down in his game of race-card Blackjack against Trump supporters.

Beck took to Facebook Tuesday night and reiterated his stance against the GOP front-runner’s base: it is composed of fake tea party members who dislike President Obama because he is black.

“Well, lots of calls from the trump zombies wanting me to retract what I said when I thought out loud and questioned: What explains your hatred for the progressive policies of Obama and yet your love for the progressive policies of Trump?” Beck wrote. “Is it possible that you accept it from Trump and not from Obama because one is on your side? One is Republican and one is not? Is it possible that it really was all about race? Maybe because I can’t think of any other reason that excuses such a huge flip flop.”

Beck then posted an article by another critic of Trump’s supporters, Republican consultant Rick Wilson.

Wilson recently accused Breitbart’s editor-in-chief Alex Marlow of covering the billionaire real estate mogul for website traffic. He also asked Ann Coulter on Twitter if Trump pays her “more for anal.” The tweet was quickly deleted.

“Everything that set your teeth on edge, and raised your hackles and made you loathe Barack Obama is there in Donald Trump. Every aspect of the con game Obama played on America in 2008 – the obsessive focus on one base issue (for Obama the war in Iraq, for Trump, Mexicans), the cult-like obsession, the instant attacks on apostates, the willful ignorance of his history and his beliefs – is present in Trump,” Beck posted on Facebook.

Beck’s Facebook followers pushed back in droves.

“I have been a Tea Party member for years and I support Trump. I despise the ‘Republicans’ who lie to us just to get elected then work with Obama. You say that you just don’t understand why people support Trump. You say ‘he is just a TV star’. Ronald Reagan was ‘just a TV star’ and he was the best President ever,” wrote Rick Henry. “I have watched you since you first started babbling about being a conservative … and you still just continue to babble foolish things.”

“Americans are tired of being told they suck and they are stupid. They are tired of being put behind non-Americans in our own country. Donald is saying he will fix that. You are assuming the American people are stupid. If you want Ted Cruz as the nominee you need to get Ted Cruz to open his mouth and speak the truth to the American people,” added Deb Medley-Kammerer.

The radio host first lashed out at many of his own listeners on early Tuesday, casting them as liars and hypocrites.

“If you were a tea-party person, then you were lying. You were lying. It was about Barack Obama being black. It was about him being a Democrat, because [Trump] is offering you many of the same things, as shallow as the same way,” Beck said, WND reported. “If you said to me that it bothered you about his past, you said to me, ‘Hey, what about his relationship with Jeremiah Wright? What about what he’s done here, here, and here?’ You’re not bothered by this guy, and it’s exactly the same thing.”
