Did Trump Just Reveal His Plan for Bowe Bergdahl? Bowe Had Better Start Running if Trump Wins
Speaking at a rally in Las Vegas on Thursday, GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump made an ominous statement about the potential future of former Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, who abandoned his post six years ago in Afghanistan.
“We’re tired of Sgt. Bergdahl, who’s a traitor, a no-good traitor, who should have been executed,” Trump said to loud applause, reported Yahoo News. “Thirty years ago, he would have been shot.”
Bergdahl had reportedly been “held prisoner” by the Taliban until May 2014, when President Barack Obama traded five Guantanamo Bay prisoners for his release.
In March, the Army officially charged Bergdahl with one count of desertion and one count of “misbehavior before the enemy” for his actions in Afghanistan.
